Pring’s Photographer’s Miscellany – surely everyone’s favourite book of stories, techniques, tips and trivia from the photography world – is a treasure trove of weirdness and delight, as well as the truly useful. The editors of Shutterbug clearly agree, as they write, “we felt there was so much fun information about photography included that it would be great to share this book with readers” and are indeed publishing some of the best bits of the book in the January issue of the magazine which hits newsstands today!
Shutterbug is available in printed form, so you’ll be able to cut out the excerpts and stick them on your fridge, frame them for your bathroom wall, or hang them in your darkroom (the possibilities are endless really). But if you can’t find it in the newsagents or simply prefer your facts illuminated with the glow of modern technology, then fear not discerning photography fans and lovers of miscellany, as Shutterbug is also available in digital form and available to download.
And if this taste gets you salivating for more, you’re in luck. As has been previously noted, the book itself is a thing of beauty, and is available to buy in all good bookshops and, of course, online.
Shutterbug is in the shops from 4th December.
